The Tianjin National Convention and Exhibition Center project is a joint project between the Ministry of Commerce and the Tianjin Municipal Government. It is a specific measure of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy. It is the third national-level convention and exhibition center after Guangzhou and Shanghai. It is of great significance to promote supply-side reforms, promote high-quality economic development, optimize the layout of the national exhibition industry, and help Tianjin build an open economic system. The planned usable land area of the Tianjin National Convention and Exhibition Center project is 1.31 square kilometers. The project construction content mainly includes large exhibition halls, underground garages and equipment rooms. The total construction area of the project is 1.34 million square meters and the exhibition hall area is 400,000 square meters. The comprehensive supporting area includes hotels, commerce, conferences, offices and catering, totaling about 317,000 square meters. The construction is divided into two phases with a total investment of 17.5 billion yuan. It is planned to be completed in September 2021.
